| Why watch soap operas at the gym when you could be burning calories throwing hay bales and building fences? Who cares how much you can bench-press when the real challenge is lifting 3 cow pies on a shovel!
Over 100 rescued farmed animals call Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary home and we invite you to become a member of our sanctuary family too! WFAS depends on volunteers and dedicated advocates to make our daily operations, rescue, education and advocacy efforts possible.
The shelter animals need to be fed, watered and have their barns cleaned 7 days a week and we need your help to care for them. VOLUNTEERS AGE 16 OR OLDER ARE NEEDED ANY DAY OF THE WEEK TO HELP CLEAN BARNS. We recommend emailing at least one day beforehand, contact info is at the very bottom of this page (or call 845-679-5955). Bring clothes & shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty (we’ll supply the pitchforks), and work gloves if you have them. If you're staying for many hours we encourage you to pack a brown bag lunch -- no meat or dairy please, out of respect for the animals. You will need to sign this release form (print out now or sign it at the farm).
